The Residence Bed and Breakfast is located on historic Rivermont Avenue in Lynchburg, Virginia.  It was built in 1915 as the residence for the president of Randolph-Macon Woman's College, and college presidents resided here until 1983.  During those years many well-known writers, artists, statesmen and celebrities, including Elizabeth Taylor, President Gerald Ford, Georgia O'Keeffe and Pearl S. Buck, were entertained here. We are looking forward to your visit to historic Lynchburg, Virginia!

Your day begins with a full and delicious hot breakfast which includes such delights as "made from scratch" blueberry pancakes, stuffed French toast, omelets, breakfast casseroles, homemade muffins and breads, fresh fruit and orange juice, piping hot coffee and tea.     The Residence is Lynchburg's most conveniently located Bed & Breakfast. To reach us, approach Lynchburg on Route 29. Take the Main Street Downtown exit and turn right at the top of the ramp. Proceed through downtown. As you cross 5th Street, Main Street becomes Rivermont Avenue. Continue approximately two miles to 2460 Rivermont Avenue. THE RESIDENCE. is on the right immediately after the first stop light.
