| Bed and Breakfast Travel Tips
Here is some advice for anyone who has not had the experience of staying at one or more of the thousands of bed and breakfasts located all over the world. We welcome comments and additions to this information as experienced travelers find tips or information they wish to share with other travelers. This is the place to share general information about Bed and Breakfasts. We will not

Tips for B&B Guests:
- The Rules: If the innkeeper or B&B manager does not give you a list of house rules, it is always wise to ask for them. Since most B&Bs are independently owned and operated, rules may vary wildly. For example, there are many different rules about how late you can stay out and still get in to your room. Some will give you a key, others will not. There will
also be house rules about meal times, quiet times, bathroom or laundry use, smoking, check out, cancellations, eating in the rooms, and almost any other detail you can imagine. Always ask if you are unsure.
- Information: You can often get very good information from innkeepers about area attractions, local restaurants, and other B&Bs along your route. You may even find special pricing arrangements for guest or local travel information brochures.
- Appreciation: Innkeepers and small hotel owners generally work very hard to make your stay as nice as they can make it. Appreciative guests and thank-you letters make the job much easier and more pleasant for everyone.
